We are not responsible for any consequences of individuals' actions. We are assuming you have your own organizations (unions, coalitions, or even smaller well-educated solidarities).

Here's what we're doing on Discord:

• Our Discord is a home, and we are the hosts. Please come in and speak freely—while we provide the space, we don't set the agenda. That's up to you.

• We have "contributor skills" that work as Discord roles (see image to the right on PC or below on Mobile)

  • When you mention someone (using @) on Discord, it pings anyone with that respective role.
  • So, if you have ideas for a flyer?
    • "@digital artists, we have a flyer idea to design! @public outreach, once we have the final draft, go ahead and spread it around your favorite bulletins!"
  • We need @Legal to share their expert knowledge!
  • We need @Union to help us with the practical details!
  • We need @Public Outreach to carry protest signs and distribute flyers!
  • We're not trying to "own" the movement—we want to unite and concentrate our efforts because like all movements, we're strongest when we act together as one.

3. Example Actions

• Gather with co-workers outdoors in visible areas to display protest placards. Film your actions, share them on social media, and contact local news outlets.
• Distribute flyers about this movement and share solidarity photos with friends and coworkers.
• Use this time to share sustainable food practices with coworkers, like using reusable containers, organizing potlucks, or exchanging recipes.

Is this a strike?

Yes and no. We are not asking you to do anything to endanger your job security. We are asking you to join us on your lunch hour (local time 12pm - 1pm) to discuss actionable items that are safe and legal.

Aren’t you putting the cart before the horse?

What cart and what horse? Nobody is currently doing anything actionable. The awesome protests that are risking the peace every time they organize are begging for the people to do something. We are asking others to come co-lead a discussion about what it is we have in our power to do about the quickly-declining state of our country.

If we wait until all our ducks are lined up (2028 is the earliest a general strike can happen!) then it will be too late.

So we gotta start small.

We can’t wait for leaders.
